Welcome to Kingdom!

We are a K-pop, Romance Books, and Bake Shop! We are a small, woman-owned family business dedicated to creating a welcoming space for North Carolina’s K-pop fans, romance book lovers, and dessert enthusiasts.

Our goal is to build a fun and supportive community where you can celebrate your favorite artists, authors, and more. Our physical store opened in Clemmons, NC in July 2024, and we’re excited to grow together with your support!

    At the heart of Kingdom is a cozy space dedicated to an eclectic mix of K-pop artists and groups. Our collection primarily highlights a variety of 3rd to 5th Generation idols, with a special focus on local fan favorites. We are always open to suggestions and requests made by the community!

    Also within the heart of Kingdom is our extensive collection of romance novels. While romance is central to the overarching plot of all our stories, we also feature a diverse range of genres including Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Contemporary, Historical, Horror, LGBTQ+, and more

    The Bake Shop, brimming with delectable desserts and snacks, holds its own special place at the front of the store. Head baker Deidre, with over 30 years of baking experience, is renowned for her mouth-watering cakes, cookies, and milk bread buns. Stop by and give them a try!

Our Story

We decided to put together our passions; love of K-pop since 2012, love of reading since childhood, and lifelong love of homemade sweet treats.
In November 2022, after seeing ATEEZ in Atlanta, we finally got serious in our talks about opening a local K-pop store. Taking inspiration from Korean cafes and events we wanted to bring that to our local community.

Deidre, the head baker and matriarch, has over 30+ years of baking experience and has been a K-pop fan since 2017.
Kaitlyn, the oldest sister, has been a fan of K-pop since 2012 and a reader for years.
Morgan, the middle sister, has been a fan of K-pop since 2014 and a lifelong reader.
Haelee, the youngest sister and assistant baker, has been an avid reader since childhood.

You may be wondering why these three seemingly unrelated hobbies are together in one shop? Accessibility to diverse K-pop, romance and fantasy books, and homemade desserts are limited in the triad area, much less under one roof. Thus Kingdom was born! We have frequent K-pop trade, cookie sleeve, and craft events; Monthly book clubs for romance and queer titles; and baking events and classes such as cake and cookie decorating! After almost a year and a half of blood, sweat, and tears what was once only has finally become a reality. We opened our doors July 27th in 2024 and have since grown an amazing community, and this is only the beginning!
Whether you only like K-pop, reading romance, a delicious sweet treat, or a combination of all three; Kingdom is a welcoming space for all! We are so excited and can’t wait to join and expand with the local community!
